Mellott – Sandy Lee Furr, 49, 223 N. Main St, Mellott died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday June 4, 1998 in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Born in Williamsport Jan 6, 1949 he was the son of LeRoy C. and Norman M. Snodgrass Furr. He had formerly lived in Frankfort for several years and had resided in Mellott one and a half years. He was a graduate of Southwestern HS. He worked for several years with the Dura-Crete Construction Company near Lebanon.  He was a veteran of the US AF service in peach time during the post Viet Nam era.  He was a former member of the Moos Lodge of Lafayette. Survivors mother, Norma Furr, Mellott; sons Christopher and Michael Furr, both of West Lafayette; brother, Gary Furr, Frankfort and granddaughter, Brittany Furr. He was preceded in death by his father, Son, Jonathan, sister, Barbara and brothers, Ronald and Gerald. Military graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Dry Run Cemetery east of Mellott with Pastor Richard Carty officiating.  Maus Funeral Home, Attica was in charge of arrangements.
